Being mindful is when you are alert and aware of your surroundings. It is important because it teaches you how to pay attention better.
Ask yourself these questions-
What am I doing and how am I doing it?
What emotions do you have?
What is on your mind?
How opened or closed do you feel?
Our amygdala is a part of our brain which controls how we think about ourselves. It also drives our emotions. When we are mad, we tend to think about ourselves. Staying in this mood, affects how we think. Our prefrontal cortex is the part of our brain that helps us make decisions. We need to control both the amygdala and prefrontal cortex in order that we can control our emotions and make good decisions.
Be in the moment. Our brain has plasticity which means its always changing.
